@jeaniepearl ~ You are welcome to the third episode of TGIF with @jeaniepearl, thanks for honouring my invite. I can hear my viewers screaming, am sure some believe I photoshoped you here.Well I can't blame them,even me am not sure if this is reality or a dream, let me give you a hug to be sure.

@surfyogi ~ laughs out loud the interview hasn't even started and am catching so much fun. Like I told you off the camera, I watched last week's episode, @gloglo was superb and it was really interesting, I couldn't resist having my own portion of the fun,thanks for the invite.

@surfyogi ~ The pleasure is mine.

@jeaniepearl ~ How did you discover steemit?

@surfyogi ~ Interesting story; @ned called me and asked me if i wanted to work on Steemit. I didn't know what it was, so he explained it to me. I worked on the project for a while, and I learned a lot from that experience. I was very fortunate. That happened last year, and I worked on STeemit over the summer but decided to work on my own projects independently now, and after doing a lot of research, I decided to start investing my own money in the project.

@jeaniepearl ~ How long did it take you to become a steemit whale and how did you achieve it?

@surfyogi ~ Not that long. I purchased a lot of STEEM from blocktrades.us and other sources ;-) It became pretty clear to me whales have the best time (!), and can help others, so I liked that idea compared to holding onto litecoin, btc, eth, etc. Other crypto currencies don't have the same flavor, and that's because they are completely different animals. There are a lot of technical issues involved, but STEEM is the most approachable new currency for internet users worldwide, so I wanted to be involved with that, and try to create and support new communities where I see a need.

@jeaniepearl ~ What is your biggest challenge on steemit?

@surfyogi ~ I think the fact that it's not as decentralized as it should be and whales have too much influence in some ways. On the other hand, the whales I've talked to, really care about making everyone included, and are working very hard full time on steemit, so I respect many of them very much, admire their work, and even use them as role models in some ways. So it goes both ways, both pro and con. Also, new users are having a hard time and I want to understand that better, learn about how STEEM will change over time, and help others understand this will take time.

@jeaniepearl ~ What do you look out for in people's post that gives you the motivation to curate them.

@surfyogi ~ Things that I really like, are humor, art, music, ganja, healing, technology and crypto. And with crypto comes crypto-literacy and steem literacy, so promotion of these tools to new people who want to grow our community is very interesting to me. So I also look for interviews of other steemians, like your blog ;-)

@jeaniepearl ~ Name 5 steemians you are proud of and give your reasons.

@surfyogi ~ Not easy, but off the top of my head: @ackza first of all, for going out of his way to think outside the box and be a clearing house of information for everyone; biggest promoter of steem to the homeless and africa. @teamhumble for producing the Steemian video, which was a wild success and every steemian should definitely see:

@rocksg, @gloglo, and @roxane, because I like their blogs, and I encouraged them to go full time steemian and they did! So now, I try to talk to them regularly and help them when I can.

@jeaniepearl ~ Who are you outside steemit?

@surfyogi ~ I am a crypto enthusiast and software engineer, musician and writer. I like to travel, and meet people from around the world, learn about other cultures.

@jeaniepearl ~ If there was a matchmaking program on steemit, which lady will you like to be matched with?

@surfyogi ~ Too personal, but she knows who she is. I go for the super literate intellectual ladies, very attractive..

@jeaniepearl ~ Where do you see steemit,steem and sbd in five years time?

@surfyogi ~ OMG, that's a tough one. STEEM will be with us, and it will be very strong, because it scales so well, and has no fees. But like someone I admire once said "there is always another train leaving the station" and I think STEEM will have a few competitors by then. So it will get interesting, but competition will only make it stronger, and more honest over time. And it will certainly help us all lead rich lives.

@jeaniepearl ~ If the hands of the clock could turn back to the day steemit was created, what will you do differently?

@surfyogi ~ Buy STEEM at $.05 USD

@jeaniepearl ~ What advice do you have for people that will like to achieve greater height in life through steemit?

@surfyogi ~ Know that STEEM and Steemit are just getting started. But at 2 years old, STEEM is proven technology that works, and will only get better, and can replace Paypal, Youtube, Facebook and much of social media. Communities are coming to Steemit (like sub-reddits) and will make Steemit much stronger. Registration will be made easier, and it will be possible to advertise and market Steemit very strongly at that point, so it should start to grow much faster some time this year. SMT will launch soon as well, and the price of STEEM I would expect to go up very quickly at that point.

I love making new friends all the time, and we have something really special here I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
