Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot admits she nearly QUIT acting
The talented actress, 32 - who share two children with husband Yaron Versano - also admitted to Glamour magazine that before hitting the big time was thinking about packing up her belongings in Los Angeles to head back home to her native Israel.
Gal's star has continued to rise this past year and she is currently gearing up for the release of her new movie Justice League on November 17.
And her a-list status was evident as she stunned in a sexy photoshoot for Glamour, donning an array of plunging, sequinned ensembles.
While she is revelling in the security of her glamorous career now, the former Miss.Israel 2004 revealed in her accompanying interview that hadn't always been the case.
Gal dished all about her tough times: 'Before I got Wonder Woman, I was thinking about never coming back to Los Angeles, (I thought I’d) stay in Israel, work as an actress here and there, go back to university and do something else.'
Describing the crushing nitty-gritty of the acting business, the star continued: 'Because there had been so many "no’s."
'You go to the audition and you have a callback, then another callback and then a camera set-up, and people are telling you your life will change if you get this part. And then you don’t get it.'
Clearly having had enough of the promises and hopes, Gal explained: 'I reached a place where I didn’t want to do that anymore.'
And as a mother and wife, Gal didn't have just herself to think of, as she revealed: 'My husband has a lot of work in Tel Aviv, and we had a daughter, so taking them to LA to fish for work put a lot of pressure on me.
'I was like, "Why am I doing this?’ Hearing no, over and over, I was thinking, ‘What am I good for?"', she revealed before everything came full circle: 'And that’s when I got Wonder Woman.'
Clearly a beauty with brains, Gal was studying law before her modelling, pageantry and acting endeavours took over.
And looking back, Gal admitted her relief at her law career not panning out the way she had intended it to.
'You convince yourself to do these things… "I’ll be a lawyer so I can make peace and people will be able to reach agreements."
'Whereas, in real life, lawyers deal with conflict non-stop. Conflicts are not good for me. I’m all about harmony and Zen. So I’m happy it didn’t work out. I would be the sh***iest lawyer.'
While she had seriously considered leaving the bright lights of Los Angeles behind, Gal now lives there with her family - Alma, six, six-month-old daughter Mya, and her husband Yaron Versano, who she married in 2008.
See Gal's full photoshoot in the December issue of British Glamour, out Monday 30th October.
