The meeting discussed the progress of the ministry of the Deputy Commissioners and further instructions regarding the following matters.

At the meeting of the DC conference last year, the Deputy Commissioner of Comilla had proposed to set up a high school and a girl school in the district town. It is learned that this proposal will be discussed at the DC conference this year. On the basis of this proposal, a new high school and a college can be set up gradually in all the districts of the country.

The reason is that the number of students is higher as compared to the educational institutions. There are many issues related to the admission of the students, in the meeting. Based on these assumptions, information will be taken from the DC's deputy commissioners in respect of whether to establish new high schools and girls' high schools in the districts of the country. Then the government will consider the matter.

As per the education department's data of 2016, there are 16,109 non-government secondary schools and 335 students in government secondary schools.
