Urgent to repair Positron Emission Tomograph in Venezuela
In Venezuela we have a problem, which produces indignation and nobody talks about it. An apparatus called Positron Emission Tomograph present at the University Hospital of the Central University of Venezuela, DOES NOT WORK.
And it is the only free tomograph to do the CT Pet scan studies that is fundamental to detect the effectiveness of cancer treatments.
There are only two tomographs but in private clinics and the cost of this examination is not accessible to people who do not have great economic resources, because it could easily cost about 5 minimum wages or much more.
Our intention is that voices are raised to whom this article may arrive so that the tomograph present in the University Hospital can be arranged, that resources are urgently needed to solve this need, and could be adquire more tomographs such as it for people who require the examination and can not cover the private costs of it.
Much money has been destinated for non-fundamental expenses in our country, therefore it would be a great thing to use the money for this very fundamental expense and peace be given to those who require it.
