The Bitcoineta: a truck that travels Argentina teaching about Bitcoin
This would be the golden dream of many bitcoiners, especially those who like to promote technology: go to various places to talk about the benefits of Bitcoin and win new enthusiasts. Well, this dream was achieved in Argentina. A group of members of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina and Bitcoin Latin America put into practice the idea of bringing crypto knowledge through a van. According to Infobae, it is "a non-profit project that aims to create bridges between those who are developing technology (and understand it) and people from different social, economic and cultural ecosystems."
The two NGOs acquired the vehicle and equipped it, also made a call for social networks to find their "crew". The truck has a digital board that spreads knowledge about Bitcoin and also shows films about technology. One of the ideas is to find use cases in which Blockchain can be useful, as well as to support people who have little access to crypto knowledge.
In this regard, Alejandra Santelli, one of the promoters, expressed in a video spread through YouTube that there are few people dedicated to the education and dissemination of Blockchain who know their benefits and potential in favor of "a more just society". That is why he asks interested people to go to the places where the vans are and interact with their crew.
For the moment, Bitcoineta will travel through Argentina, but its creators aspire to go throughout Latin America. The first destination of the truck, which started on June 1, was the town of Chascomús (located in the province of Buenos Aires, 123 kilometers from the capital). Then they followed Las Toninas, Tandil and yesterday arrived at Necochea, all towns located in the province of Buenos Aires. The initiative has been disseminated by various local media in those places.
The Bitcoineta has programmed during this first month to go to different populations of Santa Fé, Córdoba and La Pampa.
