The twin towers were 28 years old before being demolished, they were inaugurated on April 4, 1973 and opened to the public this year, thus becoming the tallest buildings in the world with 110 floors. It was one of the most emblematic icons of the United States for being two towers totally equal and powerful for their height. However, everything changed on September 11, 2011 when they were shot down by two planes after an attack by Qaeda against the United States, thus claiming the lives of more than 2,600 people.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, four planes were hijacked by 19 men affiliated with the terrorist organization of Qaeda, divided into four groups, each with a pilot trained to commit the attacks, the terrorists selected the planes and the precise moments for that thus the attacks had a great impact. They chose a day of less air traffic, flights with few passengers and aircraft with freshly loaded ponds, two of these planes hit the twin towers, a third plane against the pentagon and another crashed in Pennsylvania.

It is said that this attack was devised by a man named Jálid Sheikh Mohamed.

At 08:46:30 am, flight 11 of the American Airlines, loaded with about 38 thousand liters of fuel hits between floors 93 and 99 of the North Tower of the World Trade Center at an estimated speed of 650 kilometers per hour, starting the attacks.

The fourth plane, belonging to flight 93 of United Airlines, did not reach any goal having crashed in the open field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after losing control in the cabin as a result of the confrontation of passengers and crew against the terrorist command. Its objective was the Capitol of the United States, located in the city of Washington.

Theories that respect the case
A first theory suggests that the United States Government had prior knowledge of the attacks and deliberately did nothing to prevent them, this is how much of the population begins to blame the government for not doing anything about it, to let all the disaster will happen and not take action to try to avoid this event
The second theory says that the United States was the one who planned all these attacks and not the organization of Qaeda since many people have different theories to support that the government is really the one that has to do with all these facts.
