What's the difference in lifestyle between an engineering student vs. a medical student?
i feel qualified to write answer for this..being a former medico with many friends in different IIT and engineering college..
1st year medico- entry with severe ragging, unlimited in most of college except for a few..with internal exams..and additional work of seniors...along with it you will be taught by your seniors drinks.,.plenty of girls so you will be getting some love at first sight...and one more thing your body will and dresses will always be smelling of formalin because of dissection
1st year engineer..ragging will be there but will be of different kind..not much to study as much in medical College..less no of girls so amount of competition is very high for those girls
2nd year medico - honeymoon year of medical college..one can see as many movies as one want..play explore..and get to cross rag and be a lazy tool as juniors come..those who want to become doctors soon..start going posting and get impressed by knowledge of seniors..many start enjoying alcohol
2nd year engineer - projects starts to come..tension of projects and professor and improving cgpa..college politics start..you get to play lots of sports and basically many start smoking.
3/4 year of medico -last 2 years..you have to read many things..regular postings and Hospital attendance become compulsory..
3/4 year as engineer- lots of projects and tension of improving cgpa along with tension of campus placements..pehle start preparing for IAS, MBA, start thinking and planning of entrepreneurship
Some other very common
Medico rooms- you will find plenty of books in a medico room..approx 25 minimum even if he is a non-studuous guy
Cult fest is medical colleges are not that grand..except for in a few college which are in Metro..because number iof students are less...so not much to play
Professor are weird and most are not flexible except a few..it's like a mutation which they get after becoming professor
Medico are not that much innovative and mostly follow rules by the book.
During internship medico work for 36 hours withought sleeping..continuously work.seeing so many patient...belive me none of my engineer friends believe that it's possible to spend 36 hours every week without sleeping
Attendance is compulsory of 75-80 percentage in most colleges
Doctors read so many books...that they don't get time for reading much about other fields.
Engineer- have very few book..mostly read from xerox of seniors and pass exams.
Cult fest in most engineer colleges are mostly grand even in small engineering colleges..and continue for 4-5 days..with lots of fun stuff to do.
Attendance is compulsory but flexibility was there in my friends college..regarding attendance I can't say for sure
Engineers are always talking about intuitive ideas with so many things and they have knowledge about diverse knowledge about many other fields apart from engineering..that is one fact which I love about engineers.
