RE: The Curation and Engagement Leagues 🏆 - STEEM prizes & steem-bounty available! 🎁

in #engagement6 years ago

With posting, I've been trying to adhere to a two hour or less rule. If I can't get it written, edited, and formatted in two hours, then I probably shouldn't do it, because I'm going to end up spending more time than it's worth right now. That means I might be holding back some pretty good stuff (or not), but since I can't seem to get back to even $1 on a regular basis now, I'm thinking it's a waste of time.

The trick is still to produce value, whatever that means to anyone.

As for comments, well, those either flow on the spur of the moment or they don't. I'll find myself deleting one or two lines if that's all I got out to avoid the "Nice post," or "Thanks for sharing" feel. Especially if I'm stretching to even do that because I don't know what I'm talking about.

Regardless, I'm agreeing with the sentiment. You can't get any rewards if there's nothing to reward. You can't engage if you or they don't engage back.

I also try to limit the time I spend on posts. That's part of why I haven't been as motivated to do posts for The Man with No Name series. It takes probably 3-4 hours or more for each post. The organic votes just aren't there to justify that kind of time. Also, it's more enjoyable to post on precious metals, even if I get more of a sense of accomplishment by posting TMWNN series.

Not wanting to exert any pressure here. I am, after all, just one person, but I miss the TWMNN series. The posts about shiny, though, are exactly what I was referring to. Do what you need to do to keep up value but don't get so carried away that no one knows or no one cares how much you sweated over the details, or how much you bled.

Whenever getting back to the series is warranted, I will read it. Unless it's 2084. Then, I will probably not read it. Sorry. :)

I will forgive you for not reading the story if I don't get back to it until 2084. That is acceptable.

I'll see what I can do. I had some that were partially written, but I never got around to re-writing and having my lovely assistant proof read them. If the shiny slows down (which it has been) and I can get it looked over, I may do another post on it.
