You do not need big changes to consume less power. Even small gestures can make a difference. With the following six tips, saving energy will be a breeze.

1. Save energy with the kettle

The kettle is mainly used to prepare tea, coffee or ready meals. However, if it is a matter of saving money, it is a device with a thousand resources. Do you have to cook spaghetti, potatoes, soups or your breakfast? Boil the water in the kettle rather than in a pan: to heat the water on the stove it takes longer and consumes more energy.

Get used to using the kettle in this way and save up to a third of the current.

But beware: the kettle allows a saving of electricity compared to the ceramic and electric cooktops, but not to those with gas. The latter is indeed even more efficient than him.

2. Choose a cover of the right size

However, with this mode, only 20-30 percent of energy is saved. If instead, you set cycles at full capacity, thus renouncing the saving mode, consumption is even halved.
