Leaders start with the false assumption that everyone has to get all the energy, comfort, and convenience they want.

The choices are more like:

How do we reduce the human population?

Get them to eat less meat and fish?

Take away their personal motorized vehicles?

Replace our infra-structure without any new concrete or asphalt?

Re-tool sanitation systems to recycle all the mineral elements in our food supply and wean off chemical fertilizer?

Acclimate to sweating in summer and shivering in winter?
