RE: The 1st Global Opening of an "Eco-Citizen" action based on the Blockchain Steem

By going on Fundition you are not leaving the blockchain though since it's a Steem app just like DTube, DLive, Busy, etc... I'm also pretty sure that this post was automatically generated when they posted on Fundition, but they could indeed edit it to add the information. I'm not sure why Fundition isn't doing this by default to be honest, probably to make sure that people discover their interface.

Thanks for the adding, @ragepeanut! Indeed it's not leaving the blockchain :-) I just believe that you shouldn't force people to leave the UI in order to consume the whole information... But maybe I'm the only one looking at it like this, haha

Hello to you both @ragepeanut, @surfermarly.

Indeed Fundition aims to be a fully decentralized crowdfunding platform, and independent of platforms like Steemit.com etc.... If my memories are good I think that the founder of Fundition @hightouch had in mind to completely leave the Steem field, Steemit and everything that we Steemians know, to propose a user-friendly interface and a simple and common operation to all the users whether they are steemians or not. That's why he decided to call it Fundition and not SteemFunding :-) !

Fundition draws all its strength from the Steem blockchain and differs from other platforms by a totally different operation. If you are curious you can always look here to see where the publication data are stored. Funditon does not have a database, its database is simply the Steem blockchain.

This way, when everything is finished, Steemians and not Steemians will be completely equal on the platform. As I was saying, this is a way of democratizing Steem. I really liked this idea which is the basis of Fundition because in everyday life we use things without knowing what it really hides behind.

The users do not need to know all the mechanism of the Steem blockchain to be able to profit from it just as I do not need to know how were manufactured the machines which were used to print the notes which is in my wallet :-) !

I hope that this information will be useful to you if you want to know more or have questions, do not hesitate to join the Discord server of Fundition you will certainly find very interesting things there :-) !

The "no database" stuff is quite impressive to me and interesting because that's the way I want my future projects to work. Does it truly have no database whatsoever or is there a tiny bit of database usage for some actions ? I ask this because I can understand how everything works without any database except for one thing which is the donation counter. Does it monitor the wallet activity of accounts that created projects or is there more to it that I'm missing ?

Better, no server and no database. All information present on Fundition is retrieved directly from the Steem blockchain, from the web browser according to the needs at the time of navigation. @hightouch designed Fundition to completely dispense with database, even FAQs are retrieved on the Steem blockchain to give an idea of the thing :-) !

Just stumbled across the @fundition.faq account, that's awesome aha :D

That's quite smart actually, never thought of hosting what I would normally consider static web pages on the blockchain. Plus with editing of posts being allowed after 7 days on the next hardfork I can't see any downsides to this !
