Terminations, Charging Users $20 Per Month for Verifications & a Vine Comeback?

You have to love Elon Musk, who has officially completed his $44 billon dollar takeover of Twitter. Since then, he has been quite the busy little bee. He reportedly marched into Twitter headquarters, ax in hand and fired top executives for cause which, might allow for him to opt out of having to payout contractually agreed upon severance packages, it has also been rumoured that he must layoff employees by Nov 1 so as to avoid the stock option employees receive as of November 1.
Some reports have indicated that he did send a message to management asking for a list of employees to be terminated. But that is only a rumour.
Other Twitter staffers are on the edge of their seats waiting for the ax to be swung again. Musk Tweeted a conspiracy theory about the attack on Paul Pelosi over the weekend, but thought better of it and has since deleted it, leading by example in all honesty. Musk is also considering charging users $20 per month for verifications and now rumours are flying about a Vine comeback.
Vine was acquired by Twitter in 2012, launched in early 2013 did well but then fell to giants like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Vine took a rather hard stumble and fall from grace back in 2016 before being officially put into a grave in 2019.
This past weekend Elon ran a poll on Twitter asking users if they thought he should raise Vine from the dead and surprisingly 70% out of more than three million users were in favour of the idea.
It sounds like Musk is ready to take on rival platforms and raise Vine from the dead, ahh but first he is doing a bit of housecleaning over at Twitter, most of which was needed for a long time sadly.
You really do have to hand to Elon Musk for doing exactly what he said he would do.
