What Is In My Sketchbook? by Endija
Some of these works I have drawn a while ago, some of these are the recent ones. But the most important thing - I am proud of all of them!
I have always thought that sketchbooks are something personal and if an artist decides to share even just a very few drawings from it, it is a pleasure. At least for me. Even I am an artist too, I still respect everyone's privacy with it.
Each drawing you see here means something, and not always I can explain in words for myself. There is just feeling every time looking at it.
Some of days I have favourite colour of the day, I pick it as inspiration for my drawing and drew how it makes me feel.
One of drawings was inspired by musician and how talented he is. Next big star. And might be, he ended up in my sketchbook because of his love of what he does. Just like me. Art is not far from music, never has been. At least for me.
And there are some days I like to explore nature or learn something new. Once I have found something extremely interesting for me, if it is possible, I will draw it. In my opinion, there always is so much to see and learn, even if you think you already know - You don't. And that is the beautiful side of life. You never know what you will discover.
There are always times, when something happens in your personal life. It can be anything. And that is where big inspiration comes again. When emotions and feelings are put together, it is the moment, when it all comes alive into a drawing. And mostly, it is the only way how to express yourself. And feel much better after it.
What would be this world without animals? There obviously is a reason why people start to think more what they do. What they eat and throw in the ocean. And maybe not that much to save the planet and live in cleaner nature around them, but help little animals to live their life. The bigger ones help the smaller ones just to survive. They have connection between each other that we, humans, might never understand.
If you read this far, very end, I want to say thank you so, so much for taking your time and reading what is on my mind! I hope you got something from this, at least short, good feeling by just looking inside my sketchbook. Thank you again!

Some really cool sketches here! I love that dotted style.
I love the hare, its really detailed and accurate but also highly stylised. You must have spent a lot of time studying the animal to be able to make such a well made piece of art with your own spin on it.
I also really like the headless body with the blue line, it looks great. Great idea to think of something like that. Plus, I have no clue how you managed to put the blue line in but not get any blue on the hands haha!
Finally, my other favourite is the falling person. The mix of dots and lines really give a lot of movement and activity in the sketch.
Keep up this great work. I am now following you!
I am reading this and smiling!! I am drawing almost all my life, so, I guess years of practice is the key here.
I tried my best with that blue colour, was not the easiest task,haha! But I am really happy that you love that idea.

Well, I think in our essence, we humans are the same. We just have different experiences and different ways of seeing the world. But we're all capable of feeling the same emotions. So I think emotional pieces speak louder than others :-)
And maybe us two, you and me, even had similar experiences in life...
Your drawings open up something in me, that's for sure.
