Politics today

I was so naive when I went to America, I really thought that for the most part the people of the world were good and that bad things were rare, Even though I had read and saw in movies and documentaries about all the bad and evil in the world, it is only when you fall fowl of some nasty persons abuse and then get the deluge of other people you thought were friends taking advantage of you or leaving you without help that it starts to sink in that so much of what is in the world is just really bad or even down right evil.
As I went through the difficulties I had in LA it taught me a lot about life and vulnerability, it scares me now how bold I was back then, now I probably would not have gone at all as it sounds really crazy now. I went to get the feel of Hollywood and to truly be part of it at least for a little while. In many ways I loved LA, it is a nice place with much going for it but my eyes were really opened to the other side of seedy Hollywood and all the experience that being homeless in Hollywood Brings. I started off well with ten grand in my pocket and a ten year visa. Thanks to the wonderfully generous letter written by my ex girlfriend Susan's amazing dad, Who I met on my first trip to America to Maine. He had been the surgeon general of Pennsylvania and a retired US ARMY reserve General. What a great man, we talked for hours about American History and what America really is about and meant to be, Over our conversations I really fell in Love with America as an idea. Although I am very against federalism and the federal government as a system and the states would work much better as a confederacy. America has many really good people but also many really wicked ones, and there is a kind of LA syndrome I have noticed [Mostly from my friend Scott Berton] where because someone has done you wrong you feel justified in Victimising someone else. Thankfully I did not fall in to that trap, but Scott did, He stole my motorcycle because he had had a bad divorce.
I met a lot of people over there who much as they were very nice to me I knew they had great capacity for evil. I have never understood people who want to do bad things to others or harm innocent animals, but many of my fellow humans engage in this. I hate to think of any creature feeling scared. One of the main things that makes Americans dangerous is that they lack this compassion and they hunt defenceless animals and are proud of their kills, I believe hunters are all borderline psychopaths Killing for fun, and the inordinate amount of crazed gunman shootings in America testifies to that fact.
Robert Kennedy when he was Attorney General went after organized crime, but the criminals were so embedded in the government that he was killed and clearly it was a CIA hit. His brother John F Kennedy went after the CIA before him and Look what happened to him. The crooks are too powerful and too high up to ever be touched. And America struggles on with the Federal reserve system and the multitude of 3 letter agencies, not to mention all of the Lobbying groups which really is just bribery, 'we help your campaign and when you are in office you do us favours,' Like big pharmaceutical companies, Monsanto, and the Military industrial complex. If the American people ever want to get out of the mess they are in with regard to serious crime they must first reject the current system of election where whoever has the most money wins, it is the same with the court system, whoever has the most cash drags it out till the other person runs out of cash. Money is at the root of all of our problems as we allow it to dominate over truth and justice.
Trump was voted in simply because no mater what, most people just wanted anything but Clinton. It is the same in the UK. Voting for one because you don't like the other.
How about instead of who has the most campaign funding we go with whoever has answers to the problems we face for a change? If we do not all end up in a nuclear war due to Trump's arrogance then maybe after him we will see a swing towards a change in the election process.
I think the amount of people who want to see a change, and who now view the CIA and FBI as enemies of the American state is growing fast and has been since 911 which more than anything has shown us the clear way the government lies to us. But the Internet must be the way in which the idea of a change of the system of government may come about, although the powers that be will shut down anything which remotely looks like a new system to replace what we have at present.

"it is only when you fall fowl of some nasty persons abuse and then get the deluge of other people you thought were friends taking advantage of you or leaving you without help that it starts to sink in that so much of what is in the world is just really bad or even down right evil."

I'm nearly 50 and it's only now that I have fully realized this. Mention this at my age and they will call you 'bitter'; mention it when you are younger and they will call you 'misguided'.

So true my friend.

"How about instead of who has the most campaign funding we go with whoever has answers to the problems we face for a change?"

The problem is that these people, if they have truly good intent, will never be heard. Being a politician is a career - they have to fight their way to the top. The skills for doing this are often incompatible with doing what is right.
