Having personally accumulated knowledge over time, on foods that are harmful to our body, I thought that EVERYONE knew this information, that it was common knowledge. Realizing this is not necessarily so; herein this basic cutting-edge information is an invaluable guideline of what to avoid for overall good health and longevity. BREAD AND PASTRY ITEMS:: Gluten allergies are at an all time high, but not recessarily directly from wheat. Currently there’s an epidemic of thyroid problems in the USA. Much of today’s bread has a dough rising agent callled POTASSIUM BROMATE. This competes with the same receptors used to absorb iodine in the thyroid gland .
SOY - THE BEAN of DECEPTION: There’s a direct correlation between the meteoric rise of GMO Soy and the epidemic of thyroid dysfunction. The late 1990’s there was virtually no GMO-Soy. Now, over 90% of all the soybeans are GMO. The decade from 2000-2010 thyroid issued rose in epidemic proportions! ... Soy is high in and increases levels of estrogen. Elevated levels of estrogen decrease thyroid function. This is Important especially for women as estrogen from soy causes the growth of fibroid tumors. Soy milk and soy product production catapulted and were promoted as “healthy”.
AVOID SOY! This is a guideline and any amount of soy intake affects proper thyroid function. Be sure, if you DO consume soy that it’s non-GMO. Fermented non-GMO organic soy is the exception in moderate amounts. (Read enclosed page)
