Egypt reports a unique discovery: a pottery from the time of the pyramid builders was found

Archaeologists in the Aswan province of South Egypt discovered a 4,000-year-old ceramic pottery. According to the discoverers, this is a unique finding that can show how the company operated at the time of the pyramid builders.

The find is the oldest discovered ceramics workshop from the times of the Old Empire, the golden era of pyramid building. According to the Department of Monuments, the pottery functioned in the period of the fourth dynasty; that is, from 2613 to 2494 BC.

In the coastal city of Alexandria, archaeologists have opened a 2000-year-old granite sarcophagus, the discovery of which was announced at the beginning of the month. The media has so far speculated about its content. However, the Sowers stated that only skeletal remains and waste water were in it. A sarcophagus weighing 30 tons, according to him, probably belonged to a wealthy family from the period of the Ptolemaic Dynasty.

Egypt hopes that new archaeological finds will boost tourism. From the overthrow of former President Husni Mubarak in 2011 tourism has suffered greatly, mainly because of the violence. Tourism is a major part of the Egyptian economy.
