Efforts to Improve Students' Ability to Write Procedure Text Through the Make A Match Learning Model
My first post about education I will mention about the Make a Match Learning Model, Writing Text Procedure. This is based on the importance of students' ability to develop student competence in foreign language mastery as the realization of open communication with the outside world. so far the tendency of language mastery is influenced by the establishment of effective learning system.
For that here by applying the learning that makes the students look passive, bored and even there are some students who are not confident in stringing the sentences correctly so selected a model of learning that is the right model of learning make a match for the subjects of English material writing procedure so expected can improve student learning outcomes and activities.
The formulation of the problem in this study is as follows "How to improve the ability to write text in the form of a form of learning outcomes students class IX Secondary School Samudera through the use of make a match learning model?", While the purpose of this study is to determine the increase in student learning outcomes and activities in English lesson by using make-match learning model in grade IX students of Secondary School Samudera. This research uses classroom action research as much as 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings and each cycle consists of four stages: planning, execution, observation, and reflection action.
Target of this research is student of Class IX Secondary School Samudera. Data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheet of teaching and learning activities. From the analysis results obtained that students' learning comprehension improved from cycle I to cycle II that is, cycle I (43,75%), cycle II (87,50%). Then from student activity also experience improvement proven from the increase of student learning activity where in cycle I the percentage of learning activity that is 40,62% to 75,00%. In addition, the average value of students increased from cycle I (67,93) to cycle II (75,93).
The conclusion of this research is learning using make a match learning model can have a positive impact on the improvement of learning outcomes and the activities of students of Class IX Secondary School Samudera, and this learning can be used as an alternative in English subjects.
