@amy-goodrich Maybe consider "Similan island" as well. My husband says "Similan Island is the best place for scuba dive" but to go there you will need to fly to Phuket and maybe take day trip at Similan Island. Or you can stay at Khaolak then take a boat to Similan. Khaolak is very quiet place tho...afraid you and your parents will get bored there.
But you can also consider to stay in some quiet area in Phuket like Bangtao beach or Naiharn beach and take a day trip to Similan (about 1.30 hrs by bus).

Thank you so much... I'll look it up. Can't wait to take my parents there. They come to Cambodia first around my mom's birthday to see our new house and then we plan on seeing something else because they already been to Cambodia. have a lovely day xxx

Will be around the end of Feb or beginning of March... I'll definitely let you all know when we come to Thailand.... maybe we have time for a steemit meetup since there are so many Thai steemians. If not we come to Thailand (especially Bangkok) quite often. But we'll try to come to Chiang Mai too ;)
