I agree that schools are a product of industrial era thinking. However I think there’s a lot of good innovative work being done by some schools (at least here in Melbourne, Australia) that is different.
But also family culture and social culture also play a role in this – it’s not always only the school system that lets kids down.
You are right. I live in East Europe and here the education system is so wrong :D And yes maybe family have more guilt but they are also a product of this educational system.
