Oceans

Oceans cover about 70% of the Earth. In the state of Florida, which is on a peninsula, it has water on three sides and the largest Atlantic coastline in the US. People flock from around the world to enjoy the tropical beaches of Florida. The quality of water directly impacts Florida's ecosystem and economy.

As more waste is dumped into the Gulf of Mexico and more trash collects in the Atlantic Ocean, fish populations are declining as the water gets worse. The ocean must be a valued and preserved for the future.
