What do you like or dislike about steemit
Steem platform has given many people the opportunity to blog and earn online unlike other social platforms examples Facebook, reddit etc. Moreover, financial gains are not the only benefit of this great platform rather steemit offers folks many other values examples:
Education/Knowledge: In steemit, you can learn about new things, examples cryptocurrencies ( example Ethereum Lyte see their current white list section https://elyte.tech/whitelist.html ) , cooking, art, nature, literature, politics etc. This is amazing because knowledge is power and such power always lead to success.
Moreover, there are a lot of innovations going on behind the scenes in steemit platform due to the ingenuity of steem ecosystem.
Contacts: There are a lot of solid contacts on steemit which can benefit members in their personal lives (friends, networking buddies etc) and business dealings, joint innovation etc.
Promotional platform: Steemit is great in promoting someone’s brand or business however for new people or unestablished members, this promotion comes with a high cost just like other social media platforms.
Conversely, however, there are downsides (unfortunately) to everything (technology) because nothing is perfect-some examples of what I dislike about steemit are scammers (scammers are in all social media platforms), spams, peoples sending phishing links, massive takeover of bots, abuse of posting limits with low quality posts in order to cash out (8 to 10+ daily posts) ,greed , addiction to the platform, and abuse of voting and flagging power.
Conclusion:
steemit just like any other platforms has its advantages (as indicated here ) on the other hand, there are limitations / downsides too. The important thing, is that the platform has given hope to many people who otherwise do not have any other means to financial freedom plus a great learning hub, networking etc and we all should be grateful to the ingenuity of blockchain technology.

Business model. It shouldn't only depends on new fund come in. Why should we also get income from ads.
I am still waiting for a company to step in and buy a lot of Steem Power to support the community and generate a lot of goodwill and promotion for their brand on this platform.

You named most of the reasons why I like steemit especially the educational/knowledge , financial , networking etc . However I dislike the greed and excessive use of bots especially those who posts low quality contents and move themselves to trending including abuse of flagging power and posts limits...however steemit will survive.

What I like about this platform is the idea that anyone can create content and be rewarded. What I don't like is when the whales abuse their power over minnows.

I like steemit. You can learn a lot from this platform. You have easy access to enter into the magical world of cryptocurrency.
To get in cryptocurrency, you have to buy cryptos or mine them. But here on steemit, you can earn steem and SBD making quality post and interacting with others. This is so cool!

I happily jumped to read and answer you question but after reading, you wrote most of it I wanted to comment. :)
However, the best for me is awareness that I am part of the movement that is changing lives for better, allowing people to earn for life expressing who they are, I am also so happy for making connections with amazing individuals all over the world.
On the other hand, I also noticed hypocrisy, and I am not such a big fan of that.

There are good things and there are bad things about Steemit but as a whole I freaking love the platform.
However, the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that I did not discovered it earlier lol.

things I do not like in steemit are steemit users who do not make friendships, but instead just ask for an upvote in the comment.

I love the fact that Steemit allows for people to express whatever the hell they want. I've seen posts written by someone who is quite possibly a serial killer and then other posts that express a persons deepest feelings and experiences.
Not many platforms allow for such a diverse range of expressions.
I'm a little annoyed that you felt the need to pay for votes for this post. And also the fact that you seem to be displaying some affiliate link.
But hey, Steemit allows for voting bots to exist, so you be you.
Hahahah good point...the issue with voting bots is that small accounts need some of it to exist or your posts will be lost. When I joined here last year-we do not use it much because whales upvote other peple posts however almost all are selling / dedicated their voting power t bots now. Hope the issue will be resolved
That would be sad it if were true. And I don't believe you are right. I've seen plenty of people make reasonable money here without buying votes.
