Srinagar: Several areas in Jammu and Kashmir, including capital city Srinagar, witnessed violence on the morning of Eid, in which 10 people were reported to have been injured.
Protesters clashed with police outside the Eidgah -- a massive ground located in downtown Srinagar. The Eidgah was one of the areas where the government had put restrictions on Eid prayers. The clashes started in the morning after the locals came and offered namaz. The police were forced to use tear gas on the protesters, who were throwing stones at them. The crowd dispersed after nearly 20 minutes.
