Wow, exciting! Thanks to your story I happened to remember the last time I made something manifest like this. (Ha, and in my post to answer the same QOTW I said I didn't have any stories of my own!)
It happened last fall on my long bike trip down the US Pacific "coast". Both me and my riding companion shared the thought that it would be nice to find a trimming job in Oregon or Northern Cali, seeing that it was "Croptober" and all. However, neither of us wanted to chase the job, standing on the corner with scissors, pursuing phone-calls, or let alone move from place to place just for that. It had to be on the way, where we were, at the time we were there, for like a week or so. The other requirement I added, though I didn't mention it, was that I wanted to earn $1000 dollars doing this.
It was in the town of our mutual friend we visited, that my friend I was touring with told me that he was running out of money. So if we weren't going to find a job in three days, he'd take a train back home to Seattle. Two days passed without any results, but at the end of the third day we got a phone call from one of the neighbors, that they needed some help with the harvest! Bang! Needless to say, the gig lasted exactly seven days, in which time each of us earned $1000 bucks, right on the dot.
As you mentioned, however, these types of magic has become so normal, that I stopped testing it, and even when I do it, it happens mostly unconsciously, without really paying attention to it. Which is also why it's hard to remember... unless, as in the case of this example, we end up discussing it after it has been manifested.
