Open air Museum in Riga, Latvia (Ecotrain)
The open air museum features many buildings from the 19th century and earlier. It's a half hour bus ride from Riga city centre and a perfect outing for forest bathing and a trip to the not so distant past.
As you walk up the path you might here the blacksmith hammering out hot metal. And see other museum workers dressed in period clothing.
There are many thatch roofed log cabins amongst the trees. Churches and wind mills....
...and a very prolific potter :)
I bought a beautiful large yellow bowl from him for €10 and after packing it , he played "we all live in a yellow submarine" on one of his occarinas.
At this time of year (late July), in addition to the peaceful calm of the forest, i foraged many handfuls of ripe blueberries.

Interesting choice of places to promote football. I am personally not a big fan of sports, but wish them well none the less!
