RE: Democratic Capitalism: Basic Income Proposal Has Merit, But Only With New Money
Social Credit or economic democracy, as it sometimes is called, is an economic system that is long overdue and must be looked at to weather the storm that is gathering, in large part due to automation. As more and more goods and services come about through advancements in technology, there is a greater need to take care of those who's jobs are being displaced because of it. We need a paradigm shift in thinking about production and consumption and, as Mark explains, the social credit dividend to all, in some form or another, as debt free money, bridges this gap or shortfall in purchasing power and comes to the aid of those whose jobs are being displaced . As Mark said, a national dividend (a guaranteed income) of money not tied to work related endeavors, meets this challenge. Well written Mark. If the Social Credit economic system were truly employed it would truly be a "Brave New World". One in which I believe and many others who have also looked at this system, would be full of abundance and advancement exceeding our wildest imagination.
