It's the same in every country and among every government as soon as people get access to the money and the power that it offers. They use that for their own ends and to keep it within their own little group. The banks feed the government and the government facilitates the banks to screw more people.
It's funny you point that out because I've thinking the exact same thing recently when I read it on the news that these big banks were being fined for colluding to downgrade the Pound's value against the dollar. What shocks me is that they were fined a percentage for it. A hungry kid on the other hand walks into a Mcdonalds and steals a burger but a fine is not on the table, only prison time lol.
