Blockchain Revolution - Will Your Job Survive?

in #economics7 years ago (edited)

There has been much debate about what the technological revolution will do to the job market. Will jobs disappear and become scarce due to automation?

That is the million dollar question. The way I see it is if all we had was our current outdated economic system we would be in trouble. With the rise of blockchain tech we now have another option. We now can choose the economic system we want to create. I go into further detail about the potential of blockchain technology as it pertains to the economy here.

I’ve made the mistake of being short sighted with my career when I was younger. I’ll tell you what I learned by the mistakes I made.

I started at the top of an industry as an Operations Manager. That evolved into becoming a broker in my industry . It turned into such a great opportunity.

I thought this was a career I could ride on into retirement. Little did I know beneath the surface the economy was going to change radically. The internet radically changed the industry which caused the industry to be less appealing.

Looking back I realize I should have studied economic trends so that I could have positioned myself. As time went on the transition was complete and my golden goose quit laying.

Just as the internet changed the face of business the blockchain will change it radically again. Automation is coming and it will decimate entire industries. There is talk about automation within many industries but blockchain tech has the power to reshape every industry by decentralizing and automating them.

Teachers, Lawyers, Truck Drivers, and Bankers. Those are some of the positions that will most likely be eliminated. There is even talk about automating Amazon,Uber, Airbnb, and the entire insurance industry.

The question is how will this affect your future. Are you depending on jobs that will most likely be irrelevant in 10 yrs. if so you could have very rough times in your future.

Here are are some principles to help you avoid being a victim of the blockchain revolution.

  1. The first thing you should do is look at your career and ask yourself how your career will look in an economy ten years from now. Research which jobs are threatened.

  2. The next thing you should do is start studying blockchain trends so you know where the economy is headed in the future.

  3. Find people who understand blockchain economics to help you understand where it’s headed. I always say study trends and talk with friends. Talking with friends helps bring broader understanding.

  4. Seek to build a strong community around you. Make friends with people who are in any industry you want to transition to. Find friends who are already successfully doing what you want to do. This will greatly increase your odds of being successful.

  5. Reject isolating yourself. In rough economic times a lot of people withdraw from community and fall into depression. This is the time you need community the most. Make sure to communicate your situation to those closest to you. This will result in them helping you rather than judging you.

  6. Don’t make the mistake of being short sighted. If you don’t study the economic trends and see how they will affect your industry you could find yourself in a bad situation. I’ve talked to many people on the streets this has happened to.

  7. A good place to start is by learning to use crypto currency. You can start by downloading Coinbase here.

  8. Start learning ways to earn crypto currency. Based on current trends cryptocoins just might dominate the future. Follow me on Instagram and Facebook. A good place to start following trends is at Coinbase.com

Will blockchain tech take over? How will it affect your job? These are two very important questions you should be asking yourself at this time. Just as the Internet changed the marketplace. Blockchain tech will have similar affects.

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. Things are changing so fast we have to pay attention or we will miss the boat. There are opportunities out there that will bring as much prosperity as bitcoin. It’s just a matter of finding the right opportunity.

I have so much to learn about block chain! I get the basic redistribution and decentralization... but the actual how to use it still confuses me. This is my first time participating in its use, on Steemit. I’ve been gonna text you sooooo many questions!!

As blockchain tech and crypto are more widely used we will become more familiar. If you think in terms of the internet and email... blockchain would be the Internet crypto would be email.

What I would do to get started is transfer your money into crypto then make a purchase. It doesn’t have to be something big. My goal is to eventually only get paid in crypto and all I want to spend is crypto. It’s the currency of free people.

I do have a coinbase wallet with a bit o’crypto ;) haven’t spent it yet. That’s a great goal! I know a few people who only take bitcoins for their services. It is definitely smart to invest in an alternate economy. Our current system of scarcity is totally whacked! Thx for sharing your knowledge as you learn too! It can be daunting enough to learn something new. Hard to know what sources to trust. 😎

It is a truly humbling topic. Just when I think I have it figured out a new development happens that changes the entire game. Just when you think you are promoting the best aspect a better one is made. The tech is going through a major refining process. Study trends and talk with friends. This is not something to navigate alone.

You’re the only friend I know that’s into it! Sooo let’s chat. 😉 Quick question... can it ever be bad to upvote something here? Is it mutually good to vote for your friends posts? How do I help us the most?

I’m curious as to why sometimes I see posts with only one or two votes but it’s worth $10, then I see some with more votes but it’s only worth .11? Have you used any services or bots? I see them advertised. I assume that’s how some gain rep?

I do try to upvote your posts often! ;) 💰

I upvote every comment. I’m trying to figure it all out. It’s what they call whales. A whales vote is worth a lot more than the average persons. Study how to become a whale on here I’ve just been messing with it. I’ve got my rating to 30 now.
