This is a great way to think outside of the box in the problem of changing steem directly to fiat.

Anyways it sounds like it's been a success so far since @xtrodinarypilot (the man behind this amazing idea) made this post today sharing that he had gross sales over $2, 000 in his first day.

This kind of thing makes me really excited for steem as a currency, we have also been accepting steem for about 2 months now on our silver bullion store Phelimint.com with great success as well. We were an established store hosted on shopify and we have since fallen in love with steem/steemit.

Adding the "pay with steem" gateway was quite simple using the scripts here provided by @adept

I always though and suggested in a past post that other people that wanted to start a shopify store, dropship some line of products that may interest people on steemit, accept steem and other cryptocurrencies would be a great way to make a little bit of passive income.

Yes please steal my idea! Heck if I didn't already have a million things on the go, I'd be starting all kinds of stores to this effect, but I need to focus on the one I'm already running, plus the 4 other jobs I have locally and my family (family first of course).

I also believe that having more retailers that are accepting steem as a form of currency will only help with the long term valuation of the currency.

In fact maybe the big spike in price we witnessed today is the direct result of this new store opening up! Hey it's possible.

I know @pennsif is hosting a list of stores accepting steem HERE on his blog and this has also been a passion of mine trying to promote this idea also.
