Average Joe vs Amazon (DeCommerce a thing yet?)
I think many people can relate when attempting to start online retail or resell businesses - if you're not on Amazon (& Ebay for that matter) you're shooting yourself in the foot.
How many can relate in frustration to listing on Amazon? Even then, once you do you have to worry about doing so well that Amazon just undercuts you and squashes your revenue stream.
Even at initiation, before your website is live you're thinking about how to list on the big platforms. Small timers are at a monopoly's platform, and we all are seeing how that played out with youtube. Consider trying to sell clothing or merch, the competition is not the only worry.
Any recommendations? I'm looking into decentralized e-commercee platforms in the works. So far spl.yt.com is one I've found with an alpha running, but will be a while before it's fully functional.
