Seconds will be a partial lunar eclipse in Indonesia

Partial lunar eclipse will occur on Monday (7/8/2017). The whole of Indonesia can see it.

According to the amateur astronomer Ma'rufin Sudibyo, at the peak of the eclipse, 24.6 percent of the moon disk will disappear as it enters the umbra area or the shadow of the earth's core.

So what will the moon look like? The Sky and Telescope astronomy site reveals, the missing part of the moon is lower left.

While the rest of the moon still shines brightly to reveal a white color, the covered 24.6 will be red.

The moon will appear with the face on Tuesday (8/8/2017) at 1:20 am in the morning, when the peak phase of the eclipse.

The moon with that face can be seen with the naked eye, no need for aids. In addition, there is no need for a protector to observe it.

For those who want to watch all the stages of the eclipse, the observation can start at 22:50 pm. Total eclipse period is 5 hours 1 minute.
