A Buyers View of What Makes A Good eBay Listing
Hi all,
I did a rather interesting video a while ago trying to get a buyers perspective on our eBay listings. So how I did this was to ask my friend Daniel (a buyer on eBay) a few questions regarding what he likes to see best on an eBay listing i.e. what sort of photography background seems to work the best in your opinion as a buyer.
I wanted to get this information to see what a buyer thinks of titling, listing structure, photos etc and this could mean tailoring your listings to what buyers think are the best attributes of a listing. Now in order to get a lot more accurate data I will at some point in the future need to ask questions to a larger sample of eBay shoppers and then collate the results and see what the consensus is.
But this video serves as a starting point and I thought Daniel gave some interesting answers on the topic. It is sometimes all to easy for us as sellers to think just as a seller, however the fact is our target market aren't other sellers, they are buyers and buyers think differently. So with that being said we need to try and understand what specific points in our listings appeal to the majority of buyers. Maybe most buyers like a nice, well light photo and that may make them pull the trigger on the item.
Anyway at some point I will definitely have to do a larger study to see what the general consensus is, hope you enjoy todays video. :)
