Today it rained quite heavily. I am sure I could hear the land sigh, a sigh of gratitude for these much needed downpours. The ground is still thirsty, the winter has been quite mild, so any water that falls is enjoyed. I love how green and alive everything looks. How the land rejoices.

But now the sun has come out and the mountains wear the clouds like a skirt. The birds silence has been broken and now they sing enthusiastically in the trees. I do love the smell that follows after the rain, and I as I walk along the earth I can feel a gentle bounce beneath my feet. Everything is as it should be.

After the heavy down pour, the earth is replenished . The air feels lighter, the wind has died to a gentle breeze, everything is as it should be.

I seem to stand on the edge, embracing both the ways of the old, the natural cycles that occur and the modern ways that allow me to connect with so many of you, here online. Yet I find that there are days where I wish to just cut off from the modern world and immerse myself in a much more simpler life. In some ways I guess do live a simple life, I have no ties, no real bills to pay, just me and my girls living close to the earth. Except when I come onto my computer and my energy and focus is directed here. I really do not like to spend too much time in front of a screen, yet here I am.
Everything is as it should be.

Because no matter how many times I do find myself wishing to disconnect, I know I would be living a lie if I did. Because this is the world we live in, and I do want to be a part of it.

I find great comfort in writing, in sharing my words and my thoughts. I believe that we are living in very powerful times, because we can connect with one another so easily now. I have had so many reach out to me, from all around the world, just as I like to think I have reached out to others.

We are a global community,and we are all a part of shaping the future that we want for ourselves and for future generations. I know that I want to create a world where more and more people reconnect with the natural world, reconnect with their natural selves. Where the actions of many are performed out of respect for the earth and that we move towards creating systems that are life enhancing and self renewing.

I do not wish to feed into the anger and resentment that some may feel, instead I wish to connect with those who inspire me, with a community of like minds, people who are not afraid to ask questions and stand up for what they believe in. I have found some offline, but so many more on here. It always blows me away when I get to connect with others from far off places, to share ideas, skills and visions. I really do wish to inspire others, and the fact that I can do so with my words in my little corner of the world really makes me feel like I am being proactive in bringing about change.
