Earthquakes

Depression earthquakes are caused by the collapse of gaps formed by the melting of easily melting layers such as rock salt at certain depths of the earth. The domain is usually narrow.

Volcanic earthquakes are caused by the reflection of lava and gases that cannot escape from the volcano crater. The domain is about a circle with a few kilometers in diameter.

Tectonic earthquakes occur during the restoration of the isostatic equilibrium that has deteriorated along newly formed folds and fractures in coastal areas. The most important issue to be determined in the investigation of earthquakes is the inner and outer center of the earthquake.

The main point where the earthquake occurs underground is defined as the inner center and the closest point on earth is defined as the outer center. The distance of most of the known earthquakes to the inner centers is no more than 50 km deep; however, it was found to be an earthquake center at a depth of 700 km.

Three types of waves emit from the center of the earthquake: the first longitudinal wave of pressure heard at a point away from the center, the second wave of transverse pressure waves heard and the long waves on the surface.

In soft places like sandy, calcareous, destruction is greater. Granite, basalt rocks are more flexible because they are durable. The epicenter of the earthquake, the intensity of the waves and the velocity of propagation are determined by seismographs in the observatories. The severity of earthquakes is graded according to a certain scale.
