Earthquake Earlier than Earthquake Drill
While at school waiting for the next class, we heard a very loud siren of the university. All of us just observed people outside the room starting to go outside. Without any instructions, we stayed at the room until one faculty approaches us to go out down the building.
Some people outside felt the earthquake while some including me did not feel the presence of the earthquake. After about fifteen minutes, we went back to our rooms to continue having class. Our teacher said that the actual earthquake has been early. Earthquake drill of the university will supposedly be happening the next day.
So Now I will be sharing to you the basics when earthquake occurs; Drop, Cover and Hold on!
Drop - when there will be a surprise earthquake, find a place to hide such as under the table and drop.
Cover - make the table as cover to protect yourself encase there will be fallen debris.
Hold On - Hold on until earthquake is done, vacate the place while covering still your head and find an open space and stand by.
Remembering the basic steps during earthquake will somehow help you save yourself from this surprise natural occurrence. Be safe and Pray to Almighty God always.
