4.3 magnitude earthquake reported near Perry

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a 4.3 magnitude earthquake near Perry early Monday.

The temblor occurred about 17 miles west-southwest of Perry around 5:20 a.m. with a depth of 2 ½ miles. The earthquake was largely felt in the Tulsa area, according to the USGS.

A 3.3 magnitude quake was reported about 16 miles west-southwest of perry about an hour earlier. The USGS has recorded at least 13 earthquakes in the area since 10 a.m. Friday, including a 4.6 magnitude on Saturday morning.
