Quake Theories.....
Before the scientists have revealed the secrets of Earth Quake and its causes, there were theories across the world which were related to either religion or their superstition (Many of them think they both are one and the same!). The Roman Poet Ovid placed a theory that, Earth got too close to the Sun, thus caused tremble from the sun’s radiance. Some Japanese believed Earthquakes were caused by a gaint catfish called the “Namazu”. This fish is supposedly lived under Earth.
Even, Greek philosopher Aristotle claimed that quakes were caused by the wind blowing through underground caves.
The place where I came from has also a theory. The Godess Earth who holds the Globe in one of her hands shifts to other causing Earthquake.
Even some British scientist from1800s claimed that the waves were cause by the underground water, which dripped on Earth’s hot core, creating enough steem (sorry Steam) to shake the earth like a lid on a boiling pot.
Thanks to all those scientists for discovering the real reasons behind the earth quakes.
