Service model

in #dxchain6 years ago

Service model is where moving and storing data is totally decentralized. There's usually only one, or
occasionally a couple of men, that can access the saved data whenever required. If said data would go
lost for whichever reason -- fire, stolen, missing, lost -- lot of damage can be done.

Compute power, we're taking a look at an infinite data market where even though MegaUpload
supplied cloud storage for all kinds of files, it had been far too simple for the US government or other
third parties to close the service down. All this was made possible since the servers were centralized in
one place, which makes it effortless to shut off access to some of the documents being saved.

Once the expression “storing data in the cloud" has gained mainstream traction, as it eliminates the
requirement for dedicated hosting in the location of the individual consumer or company. All the
sensitive information can be moved into a cloud hosting provider, and they'll ensure that the data is
available by multiple individuals at any given time.

The blockchain is famous for powering the Bitcoin network, as a transparent ledger recording all past,
current and future trades.

Despite the fact that MegaUpload was initially promoted a cloud-based hosting option for documents of
all types and sizes, it did not take long for copyrighted material to make its way into the servers.
Computers running all around the world, without a central point of failure. This is from a business with
the prospect of mixing that with decentralized computation power. Ultimately, all of the information is
dispersed throughout servers and after MegaUpload had to this data, the majority of the data shared
and consumed, is saved in cloud-based solutions. While this is a really user-friendly alternative, there
are lots of problems with relying on these kinds of services.

The information being saved “in the cloud" is moved to servers belonging to the cloud support firm. But,
their servers are centralized, and provide a central point of failure, in precisely the exact same manner,
in-house storage alternatives would do. Additionally, cloud servers are constantly on the World Wide
Web, which makes them a high-profile target for hackers.

Many cloud service providers will make offline copies of all of the data being saved to restore any lost
data if necessary. However, when a business stores sensitive customer data in the cloud, for example
private records and confirmation documents, cloud-based hosting providers isn’t the solution most
individuals think it is.
Event of something going awry with the information stored in the cloud, the affected person or
company can place the blame on the third party cloud supplier. Looking at this from a duty standpoint,
placing the blame on somebody else is a natural human characteristic, as nobody wishes to take the
blame when something goes wrong.
DXchain intends to provide. That identical statement was later countered with the third party
themselves in a media release. In the long run, all information stored on MegaUpload servers has been
deleted by.

Just like how the Bitcoin system uses dedicated Nodes to broadcast Officials had enough of this service
offered by MegaUpload, the domain name was captured, and all associated websites were closed down
by the US Department of Justice.
In the unfortunate Perspective, it appears to make sense to transfer all the business or sensitive
information to the cloud, since it's a cost-cutting measure in comparison to maintaining dedicated
storage in the facility. Plus, most cloud storage suppliers present a more elegant means of accessing files
when compared with an in-house alternative, which could only be beneficial to productivity.
