What is D Vines?

D Vines Description

D Vines is about creating moments in a moment - We understand that long videos/vlogs aren't for everyone as well as the editing that comes with it and sometimes we just want to get out a awkward funny quick moment and share it with the Blockchain. Or maybe you don't have the time to sit through a 10 to 15 minute video of someones life, regardless we know that not every video needs to be long to be valuable. Duration should not dictate value, the content of the video should.

The aim of D Vines is to provide, original short quality video,audio clips that are entertaining to watch & hear all the while only taking up a fraction of your time. One of the key features is that video clips cannot last longer than 30 seconds. This helps up with Storage and Scaling problems that would arise in the future.

Because Entertainment and Blockchain Tech will be the next step

For various reasons its very clear that Blockchain Tech and Entertainment are on a crash coarse for each other. As we have seen the recent influx of youtubers to come over to Steemit. The reason why real entertainment is a bit slow right now is simple. The Entertainers we have/ Youtubers don't know too much about Steemit and the tech behind it yet ( To be fair though, a lot of us don't) nonetheless this means that its hard for them to make content directly for Steemit outside of just telling us that they told their "X" number of subscribers about the platform. Which is great, but that's not entertainment, that's marketing. The reason for this "Trend" is simple. They are here mainly because Steemit offers them better pay and treatment than youtube, NOT because they have a desire to create blockchain based content. Though its not bad or terrible, it doesn't really leave us with much to be entertained about and only adds to our lack of diverse & entertaining content.

Entertainment with Blockchain Technology & Culture in Mind - I don't want D Vines to be just another "Decentralized" project/platform. One of the main goals surrounding D Vines is the idea of positioning Blockchain Tech and everything that goes with it as a Culture, not just business or markets,ICO's and so on. Behind any Tech or Token is a community, a community who share ideals, thoughts goals and etc and all of these things are what build culture.

Why do we need a D Vines?

Because We don't laugh enough in this space and that's a real problem. - Laughter is much more than a good joke or a funny video clip. Laughter is a moment in time when all you feel is enjoyment if even for a short period of time. Laughter can help us through rough market trends, scammers, bad decisions,FOMO and even when we are HODLing. The point is that laughter is often overlooked or taken for granted in the Crypto space.

Our Demographic aim is a bit different than other platforms. We are looking to rope in the younger generation into Crypto and the blockchain scene. We hope to achieve this by catering to what the younger audience enjoys. Fast, entertaining Audio Visual bytes of enjoyment that doesn't monopolize too much of their time. Coupled with a platform that offers them the chance to earn $$ for their content. Steemit.com + D Vines.

D.Vines will be built on top of the STEEM blockchain ensuring that content creators get paid for their work.

We are well aware that not all funny things are seen, but also heard which is why funny short Audio clips are also encouraged.

D Vines isn't just another Platform to express yourself on, its about building a culture around Crypto Currency and Blockchain lifestyles & finding people who share similar interest and likes.

Phase 1: From conception to REAL.

Begin building D Vines from the back end and piece it together with the UI concepts. After we merge the two we will begin Layering the D Vines platform onto the STEEM Blockchain.

Phase 2: Migration / Feature Building and UI revisions + working on the kinks from migration phase.

Once we know we can handle the basics, adding features becomes the main goal

Phase 3:Test, Test and more Test

Its best to make sure that the back end and UI + Features are working properly with the chain.

Phase 4: Beta Testing.

Let people have at it and see what problems we need to fix + revise feedback from the community about the platform and service.

Phase 5: Shut down Revise & then Open Beta Test some more

Phase 6: Revise, Release and Maintain.
