An artificial archipelago found in the coast of Dubai, Palm Islands consists of Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali which takes the form of a palm tree as the names say it. This island is found off the coast of VitiLevu which is an unoccupied tiny island. This island contains 300 plants, six birds, and 24 reptiles that are unique to Socotra and what is the thing that makes it different from other islands? It is the dragon’s blood tree that grows in the very own islands. The tree may sound very dangerous and threatening because of its given name but do not worry, this is just an ordinary tree but has a bright red sap with its odd shape. From the tree’s very thick central trunk is a sturdy crooked branches that are fanned out into a round umbrella- shape and are crowned with palm- like leaves. Home of the Uros tribe, pre-Incan people that according to legends are the owners of the lake and water is one of Peru’s oddest attractions. Although ‘floating islands’ was part of its name, this island is actually mats that are made of buoyant Totora reeds that measures 8 up to 12 feet thick. Anthropologists are still unclear of why and when the Uros tribe settled in the middle lake of Titicaca but they do believe they had migrated there during pre-Columbian period.
