What a great story! A hole-in-one, wow. As an amateur golfer you can be happy if you have that once in your entire life. I guess your friend would’t even regret if it did not clear up in the end and he would have got all wet but he kept on playing and doing that hole-in-one ;)
I've never hit a hole-in-one, but I never will if I don't pick up the club. I'm going to make an effort his year to hit more balls :)
Oh, you’re playing as well? I just started last year. I wouldn’t call it “playing golf” yet. It’s more “digging” haha :D And I realized very quickly that this is a sport with massive ups and downs as well.
On one day you’re so great that you feel like playing on the tour next season and the next day you’re playing as if you’re swinging the club for the first time^^ But in general I enjoy it as it’s not a hectic sport like some others.
I've played off and on for years but it takes a lot of time as well as it is kind of expensive. That tends to keep me from going out as often, but even if I just go to the driving range and hit a bucket of balls for fun, I'm going to make more of an effort to get out and enjoy it :)
I could already go out on the course but I have a lot of respect for it. That’s why I keep grinding on the driving range until I think that I have a skill level where I won’t interfere all the players behind me. But it still makes a lot of fun!
