Ducati Desert Sled 2019

The start of the trail ride around Chiang Dao mountain, on the Ducati Desert Sled 2019 model.

We rode up to an amazing viewpoint, with mist coming in. Was quite spectacular and need to revisit on my own bike.

Sadly I wasted my gopro battery life though (I lost my bag of batteries during my Cambodia/Siem Reap solo ride. Which I haven't yet replaced. Silly me! So I currently only have one battery.)

Later on, the thunderstorm and rains came which turned the area wet, muddy, and full of debris (broken branches and wet leaves), but by then my battery was already dead. Very irritating as I would have liked to have re-watched it. I think we still kept a fairly good time, although I was much slower than the other guys, (who were really lovely and patient with me!)

I am nervous on dirt, so being on a heavier unfamiliar bike that I couldn't touch the ground on added to the nervousness. ..but the funny thing is, after licking my wounds, I now want to do it all over again!

This is an awesome trail and the bikes were awesome too. If I were to own one, I would need to make modifications for sure though, such as a lower scooped seat for starters. I can see why people love the bike though. It was a LOT of fun.

On the road ride back it performed absolutely beautifully through the curves. Thumbs up for the Ducati Desert Sled, that's for sure. Just wish it didn't feel so heavy..but I guess you would get used to it if riding it regularly.
