Mahbod & I have a light-hearted debate about the viability of Steem. Will Steem become the next Friendster? Find out our thoughts in this video!
We also talk about decentralization, EOS, Everipedia and a variety of other things. Cheers!

Really? I don't think Steem needs Zuck of Steem. What we need is more cool apps that people will want to use regardless of leaders and regardless all those who shit on Steem. If we have something cool and unique that runs on Steem and it goes viral enough people will not care much is it centralized or decentralized, but that is a start and that is how they would learn about decentralization and what it means, how the ball starts rolling.
Also agree with your point about islands. Would be cool decentralized "united" in a sense to fight the dinosaurs.
Upvoted before watching, I can tell this is gonna be good.
grabs popcorn
You’re gonna need a refill on that !popcorn, it’s pretty hilarious!
Hehe...same here
So much Drama, and we get the Guido accent too!
Would definitely haven been easier to get that Steem article up Everipedia compared to Wikipedia... Nice video, even though that other guy could have spent a little more time on research before.
Someone please create a steem based wikipedia dapp to indeed keep this guy on his toes, like he suggested... outrageous how uninformed he is

Steem.pedia lets go!

I will contribute some SP for that project for sure.
Steem is simple and smart and perfect for a wikimedia replacement.
;-)
I will invest!
SPACE, the FINAL frontier.
Selling my IQ... sorry
Steem may be a better platform for Everipedia actually!
But the FOUNDER would have to be smart enough to know something about coding and data architecture to even discuss it rationally... and a Steem account.
That was quite powerful @Theycallmedan. I trust you initiated the debate and it was all good. I see you believe so much in steem. That confidence around you was just so real!
Thanks! This whole thing started when Mahbod had an interview with MaxDapp and said something about Steem I disagreed with. I made a response video and tagged him on Twitter. He reached out and publicly challenged me to a debate. And thus this video was born.
I still want to debate Tone Vays asap.
Would love to see that debate

I got such an egotistical and arrogant vibe from that guy... And if he was inspired by Steem why wouldn’t he do any research in the present or in the future? I mean he honestly thought DTube was the latest app 🤣🤣🤣
Steem is real and Steem is the future of social blogging.
I got the same vibe from him, too. The man doesn't know shit. Steemit, DTube - that's all he knows. Really no research. And @theycallmedan is right in that because Steem gets a shitload of disrespect despite all the work done and all the users and the strong community, it means that it is undervalued and most likely a great investment especially as the cost of running a full node is brought down to a level where Steem becomes financially indestructible.
Little does he know he’s getting put on blast on DTube for looking like a total fool 🤣 Here where there’s no traction
EGGZACTLY !!
seems like everipedia is banking heavy on charm of Sam .... not quite decentralized IMHO !!
“I think he’s the smartest guy on Earth. Just like Mark Zuckerberg.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That guy is clearly extremely butthurt that Mark Zuckerberg didn’t take the free shirt he offered him LOL
He is certainly fixated on the Zuckbot...
This is the creepiest thing I have seen in a long time.
Funny.
Steem have 8 apps among the first 15 and EOSs best one is 16th.
LOL... And it’s not Everipedia, it’s some shitty ass game. It’s just hilarious honestly. I looked into everipedia and it had 30 users in the past 24 hours... That sounds like it was just the everipedia team and all their devices lmao 🤣
But you must admit: the name of the token is perfect and they have the smartest leader in the world. Do you want a T-Shirt?
“It will make people think they’re smarter by holding it” LOL...
Clearly it’s working a little too much for that guy. #NotSmart 🤣 I mean he even said he wasn’t smart in the video. I would not even trust a site with a high level employee that’s this ignorant. The irony is just too hilarious honestly. This guy killed their brand in a half hour.
Just three minutes in and I must say that I'm baffled how the guy doesn't know about the existence of any other dapps when there are 6 of them, other than Steemit or DTube, in the Top 10 on State of the DApps. People really don't know shit, but talk as if they do.
Yeah for real LOL... He was inspired by Steem but too dumb to do literally any research. And why didn’t he sign up for a Steem Account at least to experience what he was being inspired by?? Total moron.... I can’t believe their team let him be the one in the video honestly.

Inspired by something but barely know anything about it, quality stuff.
This guy spent more time researching Mark Zuckerberg than anything else 🤣 If only he had just taken the shirt!

Formula for losing : competing
Formula for Winning : collaborating
Competing: A STEEM based Wikipedia like Everipedia on EOS. #IMHO
Yeah, zero research. Also, he's stuck in the zero-sum competitive mindset.
Total idiot. I bet the whole everipedia team is shaking their heads right now LMAO 🤣
Maybe he hopes his IQ token will get him smart.
Oh I certainly hope that's not the case... Or else he's surely fucked.
I love how the two of you were able to hold respect despite the difference of opinion. So many die hards as he mentioned (perhaps I am one, lol), but I really loved the idea you brought up of partnerships where multiple tokens can be utilized for the same work/project.
I believe now that I understand a little more about crypto (I was ignorant before joining really) that it must have come as a surprise to Dan and Ned that developers didn't rush to create a bunch of projects, instead taking advantage of the reward system already here. I have seen more movement since the layoff than the time I was here before that. It is an exciting time to be part of this project. And thankful for all those who are beginning to implement visions with the chain. I have watched many videos when I first came by day traders, position traders who would talk of their "projects" making me laugh. The real project is in the community, the true believers who hold on as many of us did through these lean times (which we are still in) and continue to grow what we hold. It is our community that gives us that extra edge, as though wallet security, a named wallet, 3 second transactions and no fees wasn't enough.
Awesome video, and thanks for stepping forward as you have these last many months. Communities grow with leaders, those who walk their talk and step forward as an act of conviction.
