It’s LAUNCH DAY, let the hype begin! (reviewhunt)

Bit rich? Nah, i don’t think so. .. and I’m gonna tell you why.

Right now brands and agencies are getting a raw deal, untrackable, elitist even with only big Youtube channels getting NDA agreements up the ying yang because of their big channel view numbers and legacy — the little guy (or gal) just doesn’t get a look in. Relationship management in the digital age is slow and face to face networking is still king to unlocking those deals and agreements.

.. . Step forward then tokenomics and crypto currency, the thing that they did’nt know they needed until they needed it! Imagine being able to hire, employ, build out a team of creatives, heck you could even build a tribe based around the whole production if you know everyone is getting a slice of the prize (but let’s get on to that later in the post!)

I’ve been a brand advocate in my past, working with digital agencies and brands indirectly — the story normally goes like this.. .

  • Brand reaches out to a digital agency
  • Digital agency agrees a marketing spend budget
  • Brand agrees a contract period of time or for a strategy for a product timeline
  • Escrow payment or payment goes to agency.
  • Digital agency now uses existing partners or builds a group of advocates
  • Those people are often existing bloggers with reach
  • Contracts are sent out to deliver content on set content strategy calendar time
  • Yada Yada. ..

The biggest roadblock in all of that is proving that you have a voice worth listening too, getting paid and getting the correct marketing strategy which most of the time has not been thought through or put together properly, often it’s last minute and scrambling to get something for the brand in a timely manner...

.. . But what if you could remove those roadblocks, what if a brand could directly go to the end advocate user with minimum friction, what if that brand/team could put together quests for advocates and influencers to virtually tender on with their efforts? — what if instead of the complex nature of relationship management of expections and receiving the money for your efforts that was a token, what if it was a the HUNT token?

Now the 99% everyone has influence

It doesn’t just have to be external companies, it could be existing blockchain projects and services, heck even our own dapps on the steem blockchain, if you have a budget of marketing spend then purchasing HUNT tokens and deploying your own well thought out quests could build your social media campaign on auto pilot automatically, all you do as a maker is moderate what comes in and what has value — trackable and with a budget that you set!

The tokenised attention economy

Everyone wants it, everyone pays a lot of money for it in this world, the ability to put the eyeballs and focus on the thing that you are doing — instagrammers, youtubers, bloggers, everyone is aiming for one main thing — your undivided attention on them.

For many brands marketing is often a side issue, under funded due to spend on research and development and as i said above poorly constructed expected outcomes — with a platform like reviewhunt the idea is to remove those issues by putting together a series of quests that you can fund with hunt tokens (erc-20 token, ethereum based)

With tokens (see as credits) this automatically removes the boundaries that are traditionally associated with brand advocacy — getting paid for your work and involvement. Finding the person you need who deals with your account, getting paid on time, correct currency if your in a different country to the marker, yada yada — it’s a real full stop if you are a creative making digital content that operates in ‘real time’

Build a better end product with your existing community

For me this is the most crucial component for reviewhunt (leading into ideahunt) the ability to build better quality, sustainable, realistic, cash runway proof products that people actually want rather than just hopes and dreams — to be able to fuse in the feedback from people to improve all areas of what your product promises but maybe under delivers - the stuff that get’s communicated but never makes it back to the people that can effect the change.

Reviewhunt will be discussion, it will fuel debate, it will create value points for all areas of a products lifecycle and that to me is where this value economy starts to look incredibly attractive — heck, we might even start to see decentralised agencies and mini tribes forming.

.. . And it all revolves around that token. .. the HUNT.

In conclusion for today. ..

As your stepping through the website today and the three initial maker projects that will be live think about all the brands and services you would love to onboard/review — i can think of at least ten products and services that i would love to see here and i will be reaching out to them to inform them about the future of advocacy and tokens in the process.

I’m gonna be researching and learning more about tokenomics in the months to come because i feel that I’m going to need that information to prove the model that the HUNT team are trying to foster — imagine a world of mathematically proven advocacy, full trackable, fully costed, time delivery, real time marketing economy at the flick of a switch.

That’s damn exciting!
