Roger Ver aka Bitcoin Jesus is the force behind Bitcoin Cash, a hard fork of Bitcoin. In August 2017 all Bitcoin holders who held thier private keys were rewarded with a 1:1 ratio of Bitcoin Cash. Literally free money.
This has created quite a disturbance in the ecosystem as many side with Roger and feel that Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin because it holds the properties of digital cash like the Satoshi white paper suggested.
Others feel Roger used the Bitcoin name to muscle his coin to the higher ranks of coinmarketcap..
The fundamental difference between these two coins is the block-size which determines how many transactions or throughput the block can process. Bitcoin currently process 4-7 transactions a second and is limited to that because of its 1MB block size.. Bitcoin Cash will grow as needed and withstand the network activity.
