Liquid Udu Drum with Classical Guitar

in #dtube5 years ago

This is a combination of two of my latin/spanish instruments. This song starts out with sounds of my fiberglass udu drum. I filled it with water to get some interesting liquid pitch variances. Later there are a couple tracks of classical guitar improvisation along with a sunrise video. I recorded the sunrise while camping in Michigan at Elk Lake. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for listening :-)

How long have you been practicing your video editing @sketch.and.jam? This is the second one I’ve watched now, your music is relaxing. How long does it take to put a video like this together?

This is a great piece of work.

I've been learning after effects for around a year or so. I still have a ways to go to become more efficient. Editing this took about 2 hours including export time. The time consuming part is recording/mixing.

Have you ever tried working with Splice? Of so, what do you think of it? What editing software do you use?

Thank you!

I use adobe premier mobile, it does the same thing as splice. I like after effects the best for all the range of possibilities though render times are a bit longer.

I really appreciate your help @sketch.and.jam, I’m interested in making my own videos. I have the required equipment and even did one time lapse drawing but I had someone hold my hand.

You obviously seem to be seasoned, your video is great, maybe you could point me in the right direction?

I have a GoPro and Apple devices (iPad and phone), what’s your best suggestion? I just looked in the Apple App Store and didn’t find “adobe premier mobile.”

We have ‘plans’ you know? Film bike rides, film ocean dives and just landscap in general. But then editing is required to cut and paste clips, speed up video, slow it down, maybe even add some music. I’m glad I found your article because you’re doing all of it. 👍🏿 Any knowledge you share is appreciated, thank you!

Aha its actually called adobe clip. If you want the full range of video editing possibilites look into adobe creative cloud its like 20 to 50 dollars a month. Then you can get adobe premier and after effects etc.

Thank you for your help @sketch.and.jam. I’m sure I’ll be coming back to ask more. 👍🏿

It sounds very good! Like music from a computer game. Once upon a time there was such a game Diablo 2. There was a location with a desert. This music reminded me of that atmosphere.

Ha i loved playing d2 it was the best version of that game. D1 was too slow d3 too easy and mobile diablo isn't worth playing.

Come to think of it i remember the desert level involving kicking in alot of pots that are shaped similar to the udu.
