Meditation for Mental Control of the Metabolism
Dear Sangat Ji,
Nature has gifted us with biological needs that could become cumbersome if not acknowledged, understood and accepted for what they are.
When these biological needs start to put pressure on our mind, we can either let them control our life, repress them until the fuses goes off or train ourselves to put them under control.
When our thoughts get the upper hand over our biological needs, we are blessed with the experience of what it is to be a divine human.
In today’s time and Age where technology has so much and more and more effects on our environment and biological functions, there is even no choice. To survive as true human, that is divine human, control over our metabolism is a must.
This meditation given by Yogi Bhajan the 25th of September 1982 will support this process as without any specific training, the task would be arduous if not impossible to accomplish.
Posture: Sit in Easy Pose or Rock Pose
Eyes: Closed
Mudra: Put the right arm straight out in front of you, 45° to 60° above the horizontal, with the fingers straight. Place the palm of the left hand, with the fingers straight, onto the right arm about midway between the shoulder and the elbow. Keep the left elbow up and the head straight forward, as though you are looking at something.
Mantra: Chant Har Har Har Har Har Har Har with the tip of the tongue, without moving the mouth, in a monotonous way.
The word Har call on the creative Infinity aspect of God.

"If you can resound this mantra of the sound Har in the heart centre, in the ribcage, you can control the Universe.
That power come to every ordinary person.
You tongue has 84 meridians to touch, and normally we ask you to repeat certain words and you do, and they do good to you. Because every mantra has the capacity to make your 30 trillion cells dance with it. The all body vibrates with it.
And “Pran(a)”, Pran, the sound, that is creative of light and light is created of the sound. They are inter-related.
That is why in the Orient, when Yoga starts, they teach mantra. “ManTra”, vibration, Tra, Trang means vibration. Like the ocean has waves…, waves, mental waves, mantra literally means mental waves.
And mantra is not a small few minutes … just … non-sense, it’s the most powerful thing if done with proper combination. Combination is called “Mudra” and doing the mantra is called “Kriya” and mantra is just mental wave. Mind is locked. And once your mind is locked and thunderbolt (mantra) is set, you are set for life!"
