Dtube copyright infringements could become a real problem for Steem
Dtube could be the "killer app" to bring Steem to mass adoption. Could be a Youtube killer....or could be the app that kills Steem itself!
Unfortunately in its currents state it could become a liability for the Steem ecosystem (and especially its price!) unless action is taken to curb the mass copyright infringements taking place there. Some greedy inconsiderate Steem users are uploading the latest copyrighted movies and songs to Dtube and even making money off them from the upvotes.
Savvy investors know the US government won't let this carry on for long and might be nervous about investing in Steem unless solutions are found. Steem could soon hit the news for all the wrong reasons.
The problem is well addressed in this post by @ura-soul and in its reply section. Some solutions are put forward there and @heimindanger @dtube @ned @steemitblog @steemitdev hopefully will soon be on it.

So far Steem has worked well in rewarding original content and punishing plagiarizers/copyright infringers. Dtube presents a new challenge. I remain optimistic that solutions will be found. Community self policing could still be enough if appropiate tools are put in place.
I agree, and I'm concerned about the deluge of copypasta that is being vomited into to steem too. It undermines value, but people don't recognise the indelible record they leave in the block chain.
It's programmatically easy (enough) to build something based on steem api that interrogates steemd etc to find all actions by an account, once a single abuse is detected.
People should think, but they'll have to learn the hard way if they don't.
Thanks for addressing this issue. I see a lot of porn being uploaded, also.
I would hate to see steem be negatively effected because of this.
Yo i have seen that i think what we should do 8s comment on those vids and let them know its an infringement or just ignore there vids altogether check my article out @rogerblu have a similiar concern
