Which Video Camera should I buy?!?!

in #dtube5 years ago

Morning everyone.

Took me a couple of days after loosing my GoPro to realize that there is nothing I can do to bring the camera back so I decided to approach this situaton with positivity and start searching for a new Video Camera.
I know that people that there are tons of more important things in life than loosing your camera and some people might laugh at my problem but as a full-time Steemian, content creation is the one that pays my rent and bills so it's kind of a big problem to me.

Anyway, I call all the videography experts on our awesome platform to give me some advices. I know @ashtv knows his ways around Video Cameras so bro, any advice is welcome. I am also more than willing to buy a used one from any trustworthy Steemian who wants to sell his for Steem. I prefer not to cash out money and feed the banks with stupid fees. My budget is around 600 Steem or let's say around 250$.

My choises are not limited between Cannon and Sony, I just used these 2 for the thumbnail and because I saw that they are within my budget.
So, what do you suggest?

Thank you all in advance for your time and advices my friends and if you want to sell your Video Camera just comment bellow or add me on discord. Knowhow92 #4050
Much love and stay safe.

Oh man, did you lose your GoPro or did it break?

That’s sucks.

For me, GoPro can’t really be beaten for ease, price and the ability to rig it anywhere but I understand that you might want something different.

I’m not that familiar with those two camera models you speak of, but for me there are a couple of key features I’d look for in a camera.

Considering your skate filming, I’d be tempted to say that a really important element would be rigging.
Having a ‘top’ handle to get low angles would be a real benefit. I’d choose a camera with a hotshoe one the top to mount accessories for if you ever need them.

Battery life and cost of the batteries is also a consideration.

Also last is ND filter. If one has inbuilt NDs and the other doesn’t then I’d choose the one that has ND’s.

Everything else like HD/frame rate/codec is by the by for me. They’ll all be the same kind of quality.

As long as you can run it all day and hold it the way you want then I’m sure the internal workings will do what you want.

Yo @ashtv thank you so much for this awesome anwer ✌
I lost the GoPro bro. That sucked but I don't care anymore.

Never thought of the upper handle as a must but you are totally right. I too consider good quality battery a must.

Can you recommend any legit site for buying exept amazon and ebay?

Thanks again yo 👊👊

I preferred for Panasonic Lumix G7 or G85 a mirrorless camera.
Huawei P30 Pro a camera phone and Gopro 7 Black.

Both Panasonic cameras look sweet bro but they are way out of my budget.
P30 would be a decent choise for phone filming though.
I also heard that GoPro 7 has problems with high temperature. Is that true? Do you or any of your friends use one?

I don't know if the GoPro 7 has a problem with high temperature but I always watching the reviews about that action camera I can't ever hear about that problem. But I must say that is a really, really good action camera especially the stabilization.

Thanks for the great feedback bro.
I'll definitely dig more about GoPro 7 ✌✌

I use the GoPro hero 7 black and never really had any issues with it.

You can also take a look at the Canon G7XII, i believe you can find one second hand for around 250-300$..

Thank you so much for your recommendations @romafederov.

GoPro's are cool but I'll try something new. I'll check out the Canon first thing tommorow.

Thanks again bro.
Peace ✋✋

Grab the Sony. They also have action cams that are way....cheaper than the gopros. I still got mine.

Used to own a couple of Sony Handycams. Awesome image quality and very durable. The thing is I know shit about today's camera standars cause all I was usibg was a GoPro.

Thanks for your answer bro ❤
