Back to Basics: Micro-Economies, Cultural Spin-Cycles, and the True Roots of Anarchism
It is very easy to become caught up in the ever-spinning socio-political, cultural shit-storm cycle of fear, macro-problem-viewing, partisan hype the con-artists in government want to convince us is relevant and important to our individual lives on a daily basis.
Even the self-proclaimed "awake" of us out there can't seem to help but getting sucked in to futile debates online about what should be done about this or that political situation, "world problem," or latest inane dribbling to have issued forth from some political "leader"'s lying mouth.
The reason I have drastically scaled back my mainstream social media presence, and abandoned many such verbal disputes and spats on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube is because, honestly, it is often a terrible waste of one of the most precious resources there is: time.
In this video, I talk about some very real and concrete steps that can be taken to effect real and immediate change, to the end of abolishing force/violence-based governance, and establishing a world built on decentralized relationships between dignified, human individuals, which in the end would meet the purported desires of all the silly systems that have been tried time and time again and predictably failed, resulting in the loss of millions upon millions of individual, precious, human lives.
Communism claims to want a unity of "the people" and an equality of opportunity. Only a decentralized system which respects the individual, and his or her self-ownership can provide this, as, without respecting the natural rights and dignity of the individual, no group can be formed which is strong and coherent, as all of the components would have no original, discursive mind by which to strengthen and maintain the group through conflict, challenge, balance, and discussion.
Political Conservatism claims to want to provide "the nation" with opportunities to "pull oneself up by one's own bootstraps," and yet systematically cripples these opportunities by placing force-backed regulations on the market to such a breathtakingly vast and intrusive extent that nobody can even move. Want to start your own business to escape poverty? Here, sure. Just pay thousands of dollars for all the licenses, applications, and approval procedures, and maybe we will tell you "okay." Most likely, though, your brilliant idea violates some of our regulations. The free market allows for individual discretion and the free pursuit of opportunity.
Both political Communism and Conservatism are religions that have killed hundreds of millions of people. How can you "change the world" against such odds? Well, it's easier than you may think.

People in general are so caught up in petty conflicts I don't ever see a united approach to the issue of our current controlling mechanism.

Sorry mate I'm down on people today as the cognitive dissonance is mind blowing, social media has until Steemit came along been a step backwards IMO as it has spread stupidity and lies rather than enlightment and truth.

The critical issue of TIME.
With very minor exceptions, I have pretty much abandoned all other social media. Facebook lost me when the US Presidential elections sank into a quagmire of shit-slinging with little actual debate. Even with Trump a year into his Presidency, those same people are still busy attacking each other... burning lots of energy on words that do NOTHING to bring us real solutions to real issues.
To me, Conservatism and Communism are remarkably similar beasts in that they both want to CONTROL people through some form of force or coercion. Which is ultimately doomed to failure.
There's that old saying that "it takes a village" to raise a child... and maybe the lesson therein is that we need to START with simply getting back to worrying about our "villages" rather than being so wrapped up in our outrage over global issues. I can't help but think that a network of functional villages would add up to a functional world...

This is something I've learned over the years. Every time I've gone back to facebook to attempt to post something about the state of politics or something important, I usually have some degree of regret, as the conversation devolves into unproductive namecalling. It's a reminder of why I don't give Zuck's trash the time of day, at least from a content creator perspective.
I should probably just start linking to my steem posts and call it good.
I agree 100% about wasting so much time debating with people on social media. It gets you nowhere and nothing good comes out of it.

This is so true man. This is a huge reason I'm really glad I got off facebook and moved 100% over to Steemit. I used to find myself arguing about pointless crap all the time when I was on facebook. On Steemit people seem less preoccupied with that stuff.

I have since childhood always admired the nomadic, free lives Native American's lived before Western thought destroyed these lives in near perfect union with nature. Your very detailed description of how the Cherokee's communicated and the ethics followed to keep the peace was not known to me. I identify most closely with Anarcho-Primitivism and have found a way in America to mostly divest from the system. Most of my waking hours are used for preparing to further divest. I 100% agree with the statement, "I can't help but think that a network of functional villages would add up to a functional world...". As a matter of fact, this is not only my vision, but is the only way for a free society to exist. I have a feeling that agreeing on a universal economy is doubtful, so as long as we possess the freedom to choose, we also must have choices to choose from. For this reason and the psychological fact that similar interests attract other similarities, there will be many small pockets of related groups, which interact with other groups on a less intimate level and so on and so forth. This segregation is necessary for the cohesive sanity of the whole. This is also great for growth in every area, since nothing nonviolent will be suppressed. I believe the key to peaceful harmony is simply tolerance, which your explanation of the Cherokee's social structure showed. It was all about tolerance, respect, being mindful of possible negative reactions and even the keeping at a distance during disagreement. This eliminates the fear of attack from an uncontrolled emotion sparking from said disagreement. As for what we must do as a people to lessen engagement from Central Authority, we must start with how we raise our youth. For some reason, even those who don't fully respect our current ways for governing the masses, they still tend to teach their children that becoming a police officer or joining the military is a respectable choice. So, we must make mindful tolerance the new golden rule, teach that endorsing central authority in any way is anything, but respectable and teach from an early age how to provide for themselves. We must get back to the mentality, where we can survive off the land at a moments notice. Today the loudest argument for the need of government is the provision of want over need. We as a whole have become dependent and breaking this thought process is key. Tolerance is the way, because a change in thought, ideals or beliefs are unnecessary to be tolerant. Tolerance is the perfect answer to subjectivity. Promoting positivity and love are a losing battle, because of subjectivity. Deprogramming is a very slow process, but when we can agree on the path and use current knowledge of human psychology to promote it, we can begin to change the culture on the macro level(societal) while we create the change on the micro level(familial). We then must teach that police and military roles are the new narcs. Kids at a very early age come to dislike tattle-tails and we can extend that to any role endorsing central control. The police are to society what the Kapos were to the Nazi Concentration camps. We just need to normalize this outlook. We have a long road ahead of us, my friends. We must live as close to our visions as possible to sell the idea.
