THE LIBERAL OPINION - Illegal Speech Makes no Sense
I start to grow impatient with organisations which claim to be for liberty but fail to address one of the most fundamental ideals for any liberal.
That is perhaps a consequence of "the Right" handing over the label of "liberal" to all kinds of socialists and their kin who have no interest in guaranteeing and protection of an individuals freedom.
As the crack down on hate speech on the internet and in public space around the world increases, I'd like to make a case for deregulation of speech.
Limitations on speech only fuel the problem of harmful ideologies.
We need more #FreeSpeech.
That is my LIBERAL OPINION.

I put a penny on that. As for my thoughts. Your topic matter does challenge my mind. I heard joke that is kind of stuck in my mind. "Under capitalism man exploits man, under communism reverse it".

The statist usurped the label after everyone caught on to "progressive". Same duck, different quack.
I meant it in the same sense "the Left" keep giving stuff to neo-nazi and alt-right for no reason.
Especially when they don't try to claim it themselves in the first place.
"Pepe the frog is a neo-nazi symbol", "Milk is a white supremacist symbol".

the NYT has come out recently and declared that you cannot be progressive and support free speech because free speech is racist sexist and anti gay.
I don't think you can be liberal and progressive at the same time, so no surprise there.
